Classic Porsche 356 rally racing through Africa
EAST AFRICA SAFARI CLASSIC

DATE: NOV 28 - DEC 6, 2019 9 DAYS

This rally launched us into the world's toughest historic motorsport race. A nine-day battle over gravel roads open to local traffic and wild African animals. Our car was the first Porsche 356 to ever compete in an off-road rally of this caliber. The 3,000 mile route through the wilds of Kenya and Tanzania is notorious for sending cars airborne one minute and submerged in water the next. During the rainiest season in 40 years, we proudly accomplished this major feat and were the only woman driver, and all ladies team to compete.

Project 356 Antarctica Ice Challenge at Sunrise

DATE: WINTER 2020

The final, and most dangerous and epic trek of the World Rally Tour, is at the southernmost tip of our planet -- Antarctica. The car will undergo a total metamorphosis to brave the treacherous ice, extreme winds and cold of this polar region for 356 miles. The team will also be attempting a world land speed record for the Antarctic continent.

ABOUT VALKYRIE RACING

Valkyrie Racing is non-profit racing team led by Renée Brinkerhoff: an American racing driver best known for her success in the some of the most historic and challenging endurance rallies all over the world.

Renée's racing experience began with the 2013 La Carrera Panamericana, and she has since taken several class wins on this event, including a Sport Menor class win on the 2017 event: the first win in this class for a woman.

But the real mission behind Valkyrie Racing is the Project 356 World Rally Tour: an adventure that involves rally racing on all seven continents. Renée's lust for life and devotion to her classic yet custom Porsche 356 rally car has captured much media attention, which she is using to raise awareness of and funds for the fight against child trafficking. The next and final stage of this World Rally Tour is the Antarctica Ice Challenge, where Renée will race her custom Porsche 356 across the frozen terrain of Antarctica.

Our efforts have so far raised more than $500,000 dollars for the cause, and 100% of the donations have gone to the Valkyrie Gives charitable offshoot, which are distributed amongst leading charities and carefully vetted aid agencies working in this field.
